A couple of days ago, they brought in some temporary doors. They will install these and use them throughout most of the build.
The white one is a normal size exterior door. The brown one is the temporary front door.
Apparently our front door is going to be huge.
It looks like the HVAC guy visited today.
I know this because there are huge shiny tubes hanging from the ceiling.
And laying on the floor.
Shane knows this because he was observant enough to notice that one of the HVAC units has been installed somewhere upstairs.
Obviously, I didn't see it, or you would see a picture right here.
On the outside, they have started applying the base coat of stucco.
I like it.
I am feeling a little bit bad for these guys. I'm not sure exactly how I thought it would happen, but as I watched them apply the base stucco coat by hand with a trowel to this house, I had one thought: "This looks like a project I might start but I would never finish!"
Of course, they kind of have to finish it.
I guess that's why they're on the stucco crew and I'm not.
See this guy with the shovel?
He's hand mixing the stucco.
With a shovel and a QT cup of water.
The QT cup of water is interesting because we just realized that we don't have water on the property yet, so where exactly did they get that water?
We aren't sure, but since this huge pile of sand appeared on the day they started the stucco, we assume it is going into the stuco mix. Maybe I should google "stucco application."
