Sanding

It was nice to see some changes at the house today.

The garage is certainly nice and bright.

The drywall crew was sanding the ceilings and walls today and there was a fine cloud of dust hovering everywhere. I was shocked that the crew wasn't wearing masks.  Shane said he saw people wearing masks this morning.

I had a black shirt on and when I walked outside my shirt was covered in dust, as well as my black camera.

They were using these long sticks with sandpaper on the ends.

The entire crew looked like a bag of flour had been dumped on them...I wanted to get a close up of one of them, but thought I better not ask.  Shane said he saw some guys wearing masks this morning.

I've decided that when you build a house and see all of the work that goes into it, you really appreciate it!

Not every wall has been sanded smooth-the upstairs rooms and a couple of other rooms are slightly textured like this picture below.  It's called an "orange peel" texture.

They taped the windows up before they sprayed the texture on the walls.

The ceiling in the master bedroom is smooth as a baby's bottom, too.

I really love this ceiling.

We are still waiting on the garage doors to be delivered, which will probably be early next week along with the tile.
