Almost Drywalled

The stucco is drying-you can still see the difference in the balcony & stucco over the garage, but the new stucco over the garage is a much lighter color than yesterday.

Here's a view from the front door into the back of the house.

...and turning to the right just a bit, looking up the stairs.  The drywall is almost done, but they haven't yet cut out the windows for the wine room.

A cleaning crew must have come through today, here's a view of the kitchen, it was knee-deep in drywall scraps yesterday!

...and if you stand against the kitchen wall and turn around to look at the fireplace; it's clean, too.

I'm not sure how they get all of this drywall dust out of here-but this is what's left when they cut the holes in the drywall-a lot of dust!

Here's a view of the entrance today-that super dusty pic was taken in one of the windows beside the front door.

Here's looking into the office, out the front of the house, my flash must have been off.

The framers have built a false-floor-platform so they can walk around and re-frame our ceiling.  Originally, they framed our master bedroom to have a tray ceiling, but it was supposed to have a groin ceiling-so they need to rebuild it.  Apparently, they didn't work much today & our builder is not thrilled.

While we were there, the head of the drywall crew showed up as well as the delivery guys who needed to drop off some more drywall.  Shane was trying to help coordinate where they should stack it.

Here's the gameroom-all drywalled.

...and here's standing in the hallway upstairs.  The room with the arched window is the gameroom, to the right is the staircase.

...and this is the reason we had to make an extra trip over yesterday.  They hadn't yet cut out the holes for the outlets or the ceiling light.  But all is well now.

Shane says they will finish the drywall, mudding the walls and bullnosing the corners next week.  Then they can begin installation of the tile & wood floors.

Countdown: 10 weeks.
