Mud

Lots of action at the house today.

The framing crew had already left, but they made the change to our bedroom ceiling. They removed part of the framing and put in this small raised accent piece-the groin ceiling.

But the most noticable change is the mud covering the drywall seams.

The corners of the walls have a bullnosed edge.  Here's what the bullnose piece looks like before they apply the mud.

The whole house smells like plaster of paris.

...we weren't even able to get upstairs-they had some sort of platform on the stairs to help them mud the ceiling.

I think I counted 5 pairs of stilts either in use or sitting around the house.  Check out the super tall pair against the wine room door-they are almost as tall as the door.

I wonder if the guys who wear the stilts get hazard pay?
