I was greeted with this note on the door. The foreman of the job site was inside making paper runners to cover the major walkways of the wood floors.
The iron guys were at the house delivering the new stair railing & it looks just awesome. They held it in place so I could snap a pic.
The bottom section matches the wine room windows and door.
The upper section is different, but great, too.
The upper section is different, but we love it, too. It looks SO much better than the plain one they started with.
I drove by after school and the sod guys were hard at work. Looks like one of them is posing for the camera.
About 30 minutes later, this is what it looks like...an instant yard.
Here's a peek at the back yard...
...and the side of the back yard with the veggie garden...
All of our entrance doors have wood floors in front of them, so they are out of commission again this evening. I followed the workers around and realized they were getting in through one of the back windows, so I went through, as well.
In the kitchen, you can see that they've pulled out the granite. The new granite is supposed to get installed tomorrow.
They have finally started working on the kitchen backsplash. It will have a band of that white snakeskin tile along the bottom, and the rest of the wall will be covered in the 1-inch iridescent glass tiles.
Here's a view of the stair rail after it had been installed and painted. It looks like we're still missing some carpet...
...and the living room is still looking great. Apparently the handles on the wine room door weigh too much and it keeps unlatching. I'm sure they'll be working on that by tomorrow.
Outside, the cast stone guys are finally ready to apply the bands to the windows and the arch. I just know that the beautiful black mulch and our wonderful landscaping will be covered with drips of concrete looking stuff, but at least it's finally getting done.
Also, some Parade signs have popped up in the yard... (please excuse the clutter...)
Here's the large one in the front yard. I just realized that now our new sod will have two large holes that we'll have to fix later...I wonder how long it takes Bermuda to spread?
I just can't believe that it's almost finished. Whatever will we do with all the time we are going to get back? I can't wait to move in, every time we are there, the neighbors come out to visit and last night one of them offered to water the shrubs for us. I think we picked the perfect neighborhood. ;-)
