Here's where we are today...
The landscaping fairy came last night and added some rich soil to our front flower beds.
You can see how much better this soil looks than the dirt in the rest of the yard.
He still needs to prepare the flower bed in the back yard...and I don't even know what I will plant to hide this silly electric box.
Any suggestions?
Inside, the carpet has been installed in the office.
Here's a close-up of the print in that carpet.
The carpet pad has been put down in the master bedroom...
...as well as upstairs. The footprints are free of charge...
Rumor has it that the carpet for the master and upstairs won't arrive until the 7th of June.
Here's what the range looks like. It isn't installed yet, the granite guys still need to cut out some notches so it will fit. They are doing that tonight.
When I arrived this afternoon, Shane was already at the house & he had set the time on the oven.
Here's a better pic than I posted yesterday of the dining table chandelier.
...and in this pic, you can see how the master fan lights up. The top and bottom sections light up separately, or at the same time like in this pic.
The granite guys were upstairs installing the countertops and sink in the bar area.
I felt badly for the granite guys. The upstairs has consistantly been 10 degrees warmer than downstairs and although we now have electricity and the downstairs A/C unit is working, the upstairs unit isn't functioning. It was 100 degrees outside today and probably just as hot in the game room, only without the breeze.
So with four working days left, we still have some painting/staining that needs to be done, tile work in two bathrooms, powder vanity installed & the powder sink (it's some custom-poured-composite-concoction that we've not seen nor heard about since we okayed it). We are still missing the cast stone trim for the exterior & the balusters for the balcony (both of which were supposed to be installed three days ago) and the exterior painters haven't been back since we told them they had the wrong color days ago. The sprinkler guy still has to install sprinklers before the landscape guy can work his magic and before the sod can be put in place. We still need faucets in several places, the kitchen granite needs to be removed, refabricated for the outdoor kitchen and a new piece installed in the kitchen. The granite needs to be cut out of the wineroom and the onyx installed. The kitchen sink is still missing and the outdoor kitchen doesn't appear to have been started....and I hear the wood floors will take three whole days. Oh-also, I understand that at some point the USPS will expect us to have a mailbox.
Who else thinks the time frame is a little tight?
