The Blizzard Continued...

Can you believe how beautiful the snow is? The snowdrifts are like little sculptures all over our yard (and to be fair, all over Tulsa).
Those piles of snowflakes are pretty when they are outside, but it isn't nearly as beautiful when it is creeping into your house through the ceiling. This was our ceiling yesterday.
And this is the ceiling today. We also have about 8 bowls sitting around the floor catching drips from the ceiling and light fixtures but I didn't think you wanted to see pictures of bowls full of water. We are pretty sure that Bo and Minnie haven't taken a drink yet. At least we hope not.
Shane says he is going to spend the night in the living room because it sounds like it's raining in here.
This is why the ceiling is leaking. It's difficult to tell here, but that snowdrift is about 3 feet tall. It is also difficult to tell just how slippery that roof is. Believe me, it is slippery.
We did try to shovel the roof, but decided it wasn't worth a trip to the hospital.
We opened the door to the garage today and this is what we discovered...another snowdrift.
It has warmed up to about 40 degrees today and some of the icicles are melting...thankfully, we weren't standing underneath these.
On our way to the house, we saw a stranded salt & sand truck.
Here is a picture of the largest snowdrift I saw when I peeked into the new house. Almost the entire floor was covered in piles of snow, but this one is crazy-tall.
The geese are walking around on the pond these days, no swimming for them.
And a couple of bonus pics for you. This was the bread shelf at our grocery store today, none of the delivery trucks have been able to make it into town. (Good thing I bought two loaves of bread before the snowstorm.)
My friend took this pic of the dairy case at the same grocery store two days ago.
I am happy to report that the dairy case was restocked today, but it's still shocking to see our grocery stores that carry everything this depleted.
