Watching the Concrete Cure

Here's what I've learned this week:

Watching concrete cure is about as exciting as watching the grass grow. It's a whole lot of nothing going on. We drove by each day (of course), only to see nothing happening. I mean I realize you have to let the concrete cure, but there's nothing exciting about it at all.

On Friday we decided to walk around "inside" our house. Here we are all bundled up standing in our future living room.

Notice the fence in the background? The benefit of being one of the last houses built is that all three of our neighbors have already put up fences! The neighbor behind us put the right side of the fence our way and both of the side neighbors put the wrong side facing us. I am thrilled that it is symmetrical and it looks nice. Aren't we lucky?
