Dana called this morning and I expressed our concerns over the baby-blue-nursery color of the master suite. I told her I planned to re-paint it myself before we moved in; that we weren't sure we could live with that color. She said she'd head over and check it out.
About 15 minutes later she called back and said, "This is blue, let me talk to the painters and I'll get back to you." Not long after that, I got a message from her telling me that she had selected another color that a designer had helped a different client pick out and she'd have it re-painted before I stopped by that afternoon.
Here's what we ended up with:
The bucket of paint looks "primer grey"--but it's very different on the walls...in some of the pics, it looks grey and in some it looks very blue.
...and as the paper is pulled off the trim and more of the cream trim is exposed, it looks even better.
Here's the bathroom, with some of the trim exposed.
Upstairs, here's the entrance to the game room, with it's glossy black swinging doors.
...and inside the crimson game room...
The bar area looks great and in keeping with the OU theme, the front of the bar will have cream acrylic inserts.
This is the top of the entryway, they had a little trouble removing the paper and will have to patch and re-paint a few pieces of the walls. Apparently, the humidity is making it dry very slowly.
Here's a pic of the office...
And this pic is looking out of the office, towards the entryway.
Here's the living room, with the beams and cabinets unwrapped.
Unwrapping the different pieces of this house is better than unwrapping Christmas gifts.
Looking towards the entry and wine room...you can see the hallway ceiling is covered in V-groove siding, stained to match the trim.
Here's a view of the harvest room, where our dining table will be.
...and this was taken from in front of the wine room, looking across the living towards the harvest room.
Here's the kitchen...
I'm already in love with it, even without appliances or running water.
Outside, we looked at styrofoam mock-ups of the cast stone trim. A trim piece like this will go on top of the garage doors.
With just three weeks until the Parade begins, everything else will happen quickly. By the end of this week, we are expecting that the granite and fireplace will be installed, the landscaping will be started and the garage and house trim will be painted.
Looks like just about five weeks until we move in...
So excited for you! And I'm so glad you got the paint fixed. That would be tough to swallow!
